For about twenty years, life has given the people of Chula Vista lemons, and each year they take it to the Chula Vista Lemon Festival, a huge community event perfect for the entire family. And this year will be no different.
The 2016 Chula Vista Lemon Festival is back for another celebration of all things lemon. To learn more, here’s your guide to the 2016 Chula Vista Lemon Festival.
Family Friendly Fun at the 2016 Lemon Festival
On Sunday, August 7, the Third Avenue Village will come alive as the 2016 Chula Vista Lemon Festival rolls back into town. From 10 am to 5 pm, families and visitors of the community are welcome to celebrate Chula Vista as the Lemon Capital of the World.
Specific details for this year’s Lemon Festival have yet to be released. However, based on previous years, you can expect to have a fun-filled afternoon.
At this year’s festival, you can anticipate live bands performing everything from country to Latin jazz. You can also look forward to an array of local vendors showcasing and offering all the lemon goods you could ever want and much more.
And for the kids, Festival Fun Zone will be available with games and entertainment as well as inflatable rides to ensure fun for the entire family.
Lemony Foods and Drinks
While entertainment may be an appealing aspect of the festival, the event’s food and drinks are what makes it so popular. Local eateries and pubs from all across the Chula Vista area are expected to serve up great tasting, lemon-centric dishes you’re sure to love.
Plus the festival may even return with a beer garden after last year’s success. If offered, you’ll be able to taste some great, refreshing brews from the area’s top breweries. And, of course, lemonade will be offered at the 2016 Chula Vista Lemon Festival to quench your thirst.
On top of that, the 2016 Lemon Festival is expected to include the infamous Lemon Pie Eating Contest that’ll challenge all sweet treat and lemon dessert lovers everywhere.
