The 2019 Toyota Highlander is back with more power, performance, and features than ever before. But before you head over to Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego to check it out, you’ll need to decide which trim level is best for you.
The Toyota Highlander offers a total of six trim levels: LE, LE Plus, XLE, SE, Limited, and Limited Platinum. To help you select the right Toyota Highlander for your lifestyle in San Diego, Escondido, and Kearny Mesa, here’s an overview of every trim of the newest Highlander.
2019 Toyota Highlander Trim Level Performance
The Toyota Highlander comes with two engine options. A 2.7L 4-cylinder engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence comes standard in the Highlander LE. It gets 185 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 24 MPG* highway thanks to its 6-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.
A 3.5L direct-injection V6 engine is standard for all other Highlander trims and available for the base LE trim. It works with a Direct Shift 8-speed automatic transmission for improved acceleration and passing performance. Overall, the powertrain can produce 295 horsepower. The transmission also helps V6 trims get up to an EPA-estimated 27 MPG highway.
All Highlander trims offer available Dynamic Torque AWD for optimized performance capabilities. On top of that, all V6-powered trims come standard with a towing package that helps the SUV tow a maximum of 5,000 pounds.
Highlander Trim Features
The most prominent feature offered with every Highlander trim is Toyota Safety Sense™ P, a safety package that comes with Dynamic Cruise Control, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, and various other driver assist technologies. Plus, each Highlander trim level includes its own list of amenities.
