The new  RAV4 includes a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that’s mated to an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. The Hyundai Tucson features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that’s fixed to a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC®.

The RAV4 offers a stronger performance at 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The Tucson maxes out its performance at 161 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. On top of the higher outputs, the RAV4 offers two additional gear ratios with its transmission, which leads to a more versatile performance.

Media and Infotainment

However, the Entune™ 3.0 Audio system in the RAV4 features voice recognition, allowing drivers to use their voice to select their media without having to take their hands off the wheel. Each midsize SUV includes Apple CarPlay®, which integrates your Bluetooth®-paired smartphone into the touchscreen, giving you access to your apps, libraries, and contacts.

Another major advantage that the RAV4 has in this category is that it includes Toyota Connected Services. These include Safety Connect® with a 3-year trial and even Wi-Fi Connect, which comes as a 6-month trial. The Hyundai Tucson doesn’t offer connected Wi-Fi at the base level.

Driver-Assistance Technology Features

However, the RAV4 offers additional features like Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control which adapts to the flow of traffic and keeps a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
