For storage, the Highlander offers 13.8 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third row of seats. That expands to 42.3 cubic feet behind the second row and a massive 83.7 cubic feet behind the first row. All bench seats have 60/40 split ability for even more flexibility. The base Toyota Highlander features an Entune™ infotainment system with a 6.1-inch touchscreen (8.0 inches for higher trims). You can stream music or call hands-free via Bluetooth® wireless technology and enjoy the CD player, MP3 capabilities, and SiriusXM® satellite radio—all standard. T
he Highlander’s Toyota Safety Sense™ P suite has helped make it a 2018 TOP SAFETY PICK of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Active safety tech includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, which lets you drive at a preset speed that automatically changes based on traffic ahead of you. For a surge you’ll feel as you climb steep inclines or merge onto highways, choose the 2018 Highlander and its 3.5L V6 engine for up to 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. The 3.5L V6 produces an EPA-estimated 21 city/27 highway MPG for a fuel-efficient ride that can cut down on your stops at the pump.1 With 8-speed automatic transmission and an available stop-and-start engine system—which shuts down the engine when the vehicle’s resting at stoplights or elsewhere—the Highlander optimizes its fuel economy. These features have helped earn this model an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle II (ULEV II) rating.
