Toyota RAV4 Specs
The 2018 RAV4’s standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine produces up to 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque for accelerative capacity you’ll feel behind the wheel. Front-wheel drive will give you even more traction on the road for better handling on wet roadways, and available all-wheel drive on higher trims works for light off-road driving.
That engine can’t be called thirsty, getting an EPA-estimated 23 city/30 highway MPG.1 The RAV4 has been designated an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle II (ULEV-II), so low emissions and great fuel economy will reduce your stops to refuel.
Toyota RAV4 Interior
The Toyota RAV4 offers 38.4 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats, and that capacity expands to 73.4 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down. Whether you’re gearing up for a camping trip or would like space for groceries, you’ll have all the room you need in this cavernous trunk.
With 60/40 split second-row seating, you can configure the space to match your unique balance of cargo and travelers. An available cargo net hammock lets you separate your load and store items on more than one level. It’s convenient and efficient, and gives you the chance to bring more of what you want.
The New “Adventure” Trim
For the first time in 2018, Toyota is offering the RAV4 Adventure, a high-level trim with truly exceptional towing capacity. It can tow up to 3,500 pounds, a 2,000-pound improvement from the maximum capacity of last year’s best tower, as well as this year’s base trim.
The RAV4 Adventure also uses 18-inch alloy wheels (the base trim’s are 17 inches) for more traction when you decide to embark on light off-road exploration. With available mudguards to protect the car’s paint from flying stones and an increased ride height to help you clear more brush and other obstacles, there’s little that will get in your way.
