2019 RAV4 Engine Specs & MPG
The 2019 RAV4 includes a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, similar to the 2018 model. However, this engine has been upgraded to enhance output. The 2019 RAV4 can deliver 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, while the 2018 model maxed out at 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes paired with the Direct Shift 8-speed Electronically Controlled automatic Transmission with intelligence and sequential shift modes. The 2019 RAV4 achieves an EPA-estimated 26/35/30 city/highway/combined MPG.*
Updated Design & Appearance
The 2019 Toyota RAV4 design was almost completely reimagined from its previous incarnation. The 2019 version gives the RAV4 a sportier aesthetic with sharper edges and a more aggressive stance. It features a more upright hood and an arched rear lift gate. The front grille has a more assertive look than the previous year’s model with its metallic mesh fitted in between the sleek new headlamps. As for the interior, the 2019 RAV4 offers an expansive cabin, taking some space from the rear and increasing the room for passengers. The midsize SUV offers 37.6 cubic feet behind the second row and 69.8 cubic feet when the second row is folded flat.
Entertainment & Technology Features
The RAV4 continues its line of Entune™ Audio system features. The Entune™ 3.0 Audio includes a 7-inch touch-screen and a 6-speaker sound system. The screen features the Scout®GPS Link with a 3-year trial as well as Apple CarPlay™, which makes accessing your phone’s apps, libraries, and contacts easier because they can be selected from the touchscreen rather than your phone. The RAV4 also includes Wi-Fi Connect Powered by Verizon with a 6-month trial. The 2019 Toyota RAV4 also includes Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0, which is the standard selection of driver-assistance features. These features include the same features as last year but with a few additions, such as Road Edge Detection, Road Sign Assist, and Lane Tracing Assist.
2019 Toyota RAV4 Trim Levels
You’ll be pleased with whichever 2019 RAV4 trim level you choose. Depending on your driving lifestyle, one of these trims will surely suit your needs! For drivers who prefer even more in-class efficiency, you can opt for the available hybrid option with the LE, XLE, and Limited trims.
This RAV4 base trim from Toyota has a powerful 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine, which produces 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The LE is equipped with an 8-speed Electronically Controlled automatic Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i). In the cabin, you’ll find a 4.2-inch Multi-Information Display (MID), a 12-volt power outlet, and front reading lights as well as a cargo area light. Night driving is made easy thanks to multi-LED headlights with stylish black bezels and Automatic High Beams (AHB). All trim levels also include power outside mirrors with a folding feature.
The XLE comes with stunning 17-inch alloy wheels and upgraded Multi-LED headlights with chrome bezels that have auto on/off headlamps. The outside mirrors also have upgraded blind spot warning indicators and turn signals. Getting in your RAV4 XLE is easy thanks to the standard Smart Key system, which has a touch-sensor feature that unlocks the front-row outside door handles when the Smart Key fob is near. Another benefit of this trim is a standard dual zone automatic climate control system with a dust and pollen filter.
The 19-inch alloy wheels with matte-black accents make the XLE Premium look more like a race-ready midsize SUV than it already does. With a height-adjustable liftgate with jam protection, you won’t worry about knocking your head or putting the liftgate too far from reach. Seating gets an upgrade as well, bringing SofTex®-trimmed seating and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support. You won’t want to leave the cockpit with a leather-trimmed tilt/telescopic three-spoke steering wheel with stylish silver accents.
RAV4 Adventure models come standard with a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine with AWD and a unique split-bar front upper grille. The roof rails are an upgraded adventure-ready set. Keep an eye on your vehicle diagnostics on your 7-inch digital Multi-Information Display (MID) with a digital speedometer, analog tachometer, and scheduled maintenance indicators.
The Limited trim combines everything from the previous trims and more. Styled low-profile black-painted roof rails, power-tilt/slide moonroof with one-touch open/close, and chrome-accented outside door handles elevate the RAV4 design even further. People will be sure to stare at the 19-inch multi-spoke super chrome-finished alloy wheels and a dark-brown-accented interior that includes dark-brown stitching on the dash, doors, and seats.
2019 Toyota RAV4 Lease
If you’re interested in leasing a 2019 Toyota RAV4, the team of experts in our finance department would be happy to help you along every step of the way through the financial process. A Toyota lease is essentially a short-term ownership, as leases generally only last between two and three years. Leasing is a great option for people who want to drive a new car every few years, so they always have the latest technology and driver-assistant safety features.
Another benefit of leasing a Toyota is that your monthly payments are typically lower than they would be if you bought a car. You also could have a lower down payment when you decide to lease rather than buy your RAV4. With a Toyota lease, you usually don’t have to deal with major depreciation repairs because you only own the vehicle for a period of time. You’ll just have to cover the standard routine maintenance services, like oil and filter changes as well as tire rotations.
If you have any questions to see if leasing is the right choice for you, our team will be happy to answer them. Our goal is to have you confidently driving off the lot after you make your decision.
