2020 Toyota Corolla Review
For years, the Toyota Corolla has been a dependable sedan delivering sophistication and safety. The 2020 Toyota Corolla brings all the features that the Corolla is known for, but with some upgrades, including the first-ever hybrid model.
Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego created this breakdown of the new features as well as what you can expect to stay the same. Drivers in San Diego, Pacific Beach, and El Cajon who are interested in learning about the 2020 model should read through our Toyota Corolla review.
The new Toyota vehicle still offers all your favorite features from the previous generation, but with some exciting upgrades. Under the hood, the available 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine ups the power of the last model to 169 horsepower. When this Dynamic Force engine is paired with an available Continuously Variable Transmission, you can expect more fuel efficiency than previously with an EPA-estimated 31 MPG city and 38 MPG highway.
The interior expands upon the previous generation, as well. During long treks, you can enjoy 42.3 inches of front legroom, while your passengers can stretch out in the back seat with 41.4 inches of leg space. With a total passenger volume of 88.6 cubic feet and a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat to fit larger items, you won’t have to worry about feeling cramped.
Entertainment gets an upgrade with a standard 7-inch touchscreen to pair with your compatible smartphone to enjoy your favorite music and podcasts. You can also opt for the available 8-inch touchscreen with Dynamic Navigation to help get you where you need to be.
First-Ever Corolla Hybrid
The 2020 Toyota Corolla offers hybrid options for the first time. This efficient vehicle still features all the same sophistication and amenities as the other trims, but with a different engine. The 1.8-liter 4-cylinder hybrid engine can achieve a maximum of 121 horsepower. It also offers an impressive fuel economy of an EPA-estimated 53 MPG city and 52 MPG highway.¹
The Corolla Hybrid also features the exciting Drive Mode feature. Simply push the button to increase throttle response and enjoy a more dynamic and exciting ride.
