Toyota Highlander Performance

Lots of Trim Options

The beauty of the Toyota Highlander (besides its design) is that it offers a wealth of trim options—10 trims, to be exact. Gas-powered trims include the L, LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum, while the hybrid trims include the Hybrid LE, Hybrid XLE, Hybrid Limited, and Hybrid Platinum. All gas-powered and hybrid trims offer the option of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Powerful Performance

An SUV can look cool and have all the bells and whistles, but what it really needs to do is perform, and the Highlander does this. Take a peek under the hood of any gas-powered model and you’ll find a 3.5L V6 engine that gets 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the Highlander achieves a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.

The hybrid models utilize a 2.5L engine with a combined net horsepower of 243 and 175 lb-ft of torque. Hybrid models have a maximum towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds with the proper equipment.

Toyota Highlander Tech

Comfortable Interior

A huge perk of the Toyota Highlander is that seating for eight comes standard in its base model, the L. Many Highlander models that have seating for up to seven can be upgraded to seating for eight. With available leather-trimmed seats, the Highlander doesn’t skimp on comfort. You can even keep yourself and your passengers warm with available front and rear heated seats!

If you or your passengers like a lot of room to stretch while you drive, the Highlander offers a ton of space. It has 41.2 inches of headroom and 42 inches of legroom in the front row as well as 39.4 inches of headroom and 41 inches of legroom in the second row. Never worry about lack of space ever again!

Advanced Technology

You want to stay connected to the world outside of your vehicle. The Toyota Highlander helps you do this by offering a standard 8-inch high-definition touchscreen with wireless Bluetooth® connectivity, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ for compatible smartphones, and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot that can connect up to five devices at one time.

With all of this tech at your disposal, you’ll be able to listen to music, make calls, pull up your navigation system, send texts, and so much more—all with your voice.

Safety Is Key

If danger strikes on the road, you may not have time to react. Thankfully, the Highlander acts as a second set of eyes for you as part of the standard Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5+. This package of safety features includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Protection, Lane Departure Alert, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and more. These systems are designed to help you avoid any type of hazard.
