ToyotaCare features 24-hour roadside assistance (800.444.4195) available at no cost for two years from the effective date, and unlimited miles.

• How do I extend my car battery life?
  • Make sure to turn off your car lights when not using them.
  • Limit battery corrosion.
  • Don’t use your electronics for too long when the car is idling.
  • Don’t take a ton of short car rides.
  • Test your battery regularly.

• Can I bring my vehicle to Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego for service even though I purchased my vehicle at another Toyota dealer?
  • Yes, you may bring your vehicle to Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego for any service regardless of purchase location. All factory and extended warranties can be used here.

• Do I have to make an appointment to have service done?
  • Although an appointment is recommended for all services at Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego, we will make every effort to provide outstanding service to anyone, anytime.

• Can I pick up and drop off my vehicle after business hours?
  • Yes, we can accommodate any schedule with early bird service or after hours pick up. See your service advisor for details.

• Why should I choose NRTSD Collision Center over other body shops?

• Where do I get a claim number?
  • The insurance company covering your claim will provide you with a claim number.

• How long will it take to repair my car?
  • The amount of time needed to repair your car will vary depending on the amount of damage. Once the full extent of the damage is determined, we can give you an accurate completion time.

• Does NRTSD Collision Center accept insurance claims?
  • NRTSD Collision Center works with all major insurance companies.

• Does NRTSD Collision guarantee repairs?
  • Yes, we offer a limited-lifetime guarantee on all repairs we perform.

• Do I pay my deductible to the shop or the insurance company?
  • You pay your deductible to the shop once the repairs are completed.

• Will my entire car be painted or just the damaged panels?
  • Only the effected panels would be painted, but have no fear, we have the tools and experience to match your vehicle’s paint color and finish.

WARRANTY INFO

• What Warranty coverage comes with new Toyota vehicles?
  • New Toyota automobiles feature the following warranty coverage:
    • Basic Coverage is 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of first use; it covers all components, excluding normal wear and maintenance items. This warranty covers repairs and adjustments required to correct defects in materials or workmanship or any part supplied by Toyota, subject to exceptions.
    • Powertrain Coverage is 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of first use; it includes the engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel drive system, and rear-wheel drive system.
    • Rust-Through Coverage is 60 months with unlimited miles from the date of first use, regardless of mileage, and covers corrosion perforation of sheet metal.
    • Emissions Coverage varies under Federal and California regulations. Please refer to the vehicle’s Warranty and Maintenance Guide booklet for full details.
  • The warranty period begins on the vehicle’s in-service date, which is the first date the car is either delivered to the original purchaser, lessor, or used as a company car or demo vehicle.

• What About Toyota Hybrid Model Warranty Coverage?
  • If you drive one of the many Toyota hybrid models—whether that be a member of the Prius family or maybe a Camry Hybrid or RAV4 Hybrid—your vehicle is also covered by an additional warranty package from Toyota.
  • On top of Toyota’s standard Basic, Powertrain, Rust-Through, and Emissions coverage, your Toyota hybrid also gets a warranty plan for its hybrid-related components, in the form of eight years or 100,000 miles of coverage for its:
    • Hybrid Vehicle (HV) battery
    • Battery control module
    • Hybrid control module
    • Inverter with converter
  • Your Toyota’s HV battery may have longer coverage under its Emissions Coverage. You can refer to your Owner’s Warranty Information booklet for further details.

• What’s Covered Under the Toyota Battery Warranty?
  • The warranty for a Toyota battery is generous, including replacement options for normal wear and tear. Plus, the battery warranty coverage extends to defective manufacturer parts. However, the battery warranty coverage doesn’t extend to (1) batteries that have been recharged; (2) batteries that have been dropped, cracked, or otherwise contaminated; and (3) batteries that have failed due to improper electrolyte use.

• Are Extended Warranties Available from Toyota?
  • Toyota Financial Services (TFS)* offers four protection packages for new Toyota vehicles:
    • Vehicle Service Agreements
    • Guaranteed Auto Protection
    • Prepaid Maintenance Plans
    • Tire & Wheel Protection
